Atlantis Paradise Island !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the amazing opportunity to Visit Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau Bahamas, Which is currently the home of the National Miss Teen USA Pageant....I don't even know where to start. The weather was perfect, i had the opportunity to tour around the main building and listen in on the wonders of this amazing place. Of course the main goal i had in mind was to sit in Poseidon's Chair...Now i can say an Essence Queen has graced the Thrown lol lol. To sit on the Thrown with a real crown on my head was kinda surreal... I loved it..I was able to tell people in the Bahamas about the Pageant and that made my day i wish i could have stayed longer the visit was too short..But i do know one thing i will be back in August to cheer on the Teens that will be competing for Miss Teen USA 2011 and hopefully at that time i will be your New Miss Essence for 2011....Im Keeping the hope alive and you should too :)

Miss Essence Nationals!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!....I cannot tell you how much fun i had at Nationals this past month....AMAZING!!!!!! I don't even now where to start honestly. I arrived in Kansas City on Aug 26th around @2pm and it was hot...Of course i had on long sleeves cause it had been chilly in New York City earlier that morning...oh well...When i get into the shuttle towards the Hotel i bump into one of the contestants..Miss Minnesota Talitha we caught up on the ride there and ended up getting our rooms on the same floor..Later that night it was time for the optional dance rehearsal..Boy am i glad i went..I thought last years dance was hard ..This years was no joke..Kim our choreographer did not hesitate to get us to work. The next day my East Coast Sisters arrived and that's when i knew the party had started....Our East Coast group was kinda out there..I think we kinda scared some of the girls with how open and none traditional we were LOL ...But then again Essence is not ur Traditional Pageant....All of our girls did great!!!! At the Alumni Party i was crowned Miss Alumna of the year!!!! Besides of course winning the pageant this is one of the most prestigious awards given...I was voted the girl who was the most encouraging and genuine at last years pageant...This award is not only for people who competed last year...But for every single women who has competed under Drakeford Productions!!!!! WOW what an honor......I felt like the the party was like my coronation lol it was great LOVED It......there was a red carpet and everything yay!!!!!!!!!...Antonia Gore Won in my Division and it was well deserved loved her too...make sure u guys follow her on twitter @MissEssence2010 .....The Best part about everything is that i found out that i can come back for A third year...As Miss Empire State...Im soooo ready u guys lets go get a National Crown.

2010 HeadShot NYEssence!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Everyone just wanted to keep everyone Posted on my progress.....As i move closer to the National Crown of Miss Essence.....I recently took some new head shots for 2010 and i have chosen my New Headshot Piture which will be going on the website and the 2010 Program Book ......Iam debuting it here for all of you who do follow my blog....So you guys are seeing it first....I always have to keep it real so i will throw it out there that i was the photographer and iam not ashamed to say it....It was either Money for New Head Shots or Money for my Evening Gown.....Obviously i need a new Evening Gown sooo i opted to take my own pic and edited it myself. Because this hobby is so expensive there is one thing u must always remember be resourceful....I hope you guys like it...My very first post on here was about losing weight for the competition and i have to say i have been doing well i have went from 220 to 195 and although i still have a ways to go im happy that i have maintained a healthy weight loss plan. NJ/NY Essence Pageant Finale!!!!!!!

Wow.... There is sooo much that i have to share; i don't even know where to start. On Sunday May 23rd i had the amazing opportunity to host the 1st annual Miss NJ/NY Essence Pageant...Along with Jasmin Swinton Miss Delaware Essence, Lauren Mosley Miss East Coast Essence, and Lauren Parkes National Executive Assistant. The day started early in the morning. as the reigning Miss New York i was able to speak to the girls at orientation and tell them my accomplishments by competing in this pageant....As the Day went on the contestants learned their opening number and got to bond with each other. I can't believe how great of a show it turned out to be....Coretta Doll ( State Director) did a fantastic job and everyone who helped out gave 110%.....My brand New Sister Queens who will be coming with me to Nationals Are Jennie Spencer Miss New Jersey Essence, Hera Brown Miss New England Essence, Kasheema Ancrum Miss New York Teen Essence, and Crissy Summers Miss Mid-Atlantic Coast Essence. Our National Director Sue Drakeford showed our state pageant so much support.....And i know Team NJ/NY is ready to take ALL of the National Crowns LOL!!!!!!

The Queen's Corner Expo!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow i can not tell you how much fun i had at the Queen's corner expo event. I met so many people who share my passion of Pageantry. I was able to meet my State Director Coretta Doll for the first time and i was inspired to be the Best queen that i possibly can for her. I was also excited to See our National Director Sue Drakeford and Michelle Pyrum who works with us Queens on our goals through her company Compass. We had a nice amount of women sign up for the Pageant and it was nice to see some Familiar faces. Wendy Williams Show!!!!!!!!!

Hey EveryONe!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to tell you about the fabulous time i had at the Wendy Williams Show. The other Week I got to See Toni Braxton Live and Meet Wendy herself. I was not able to Get talking time on the show but i got to speak with Wendy briefly and she is such a sweet person. I gave her a Gift on behalf of NJ/NY Essence Pageants and i was invited back the next day to sit in the studio audience. So two days in a row i got to see Wendy and im so glad i got to do it. Im working on Apperances for the near Future so please stay tuned to What i will be Posting. I love all of you Soso Much !!!!!!!!!
